Sakura - Japanese Parchment Craft by Tatsue Shibata
Sakura is Tatsue Shibata's third book, she has also written 'The Language of Flowers' and 'Love and Roses'. There is also a brilliant YouTube video of her work. My overall impression of this book is that it is definitely a book for parchment crafters who know the basic techiniques as there is no instruction. It is not too difficult, however, if you have a bit of experience to use the excellent detailed photographs and pattern together with a list of tools required to make the various projects.
There are patterns for cards, 3D patterns for candle holder, basket, lampshades, box and much more, all themed on the beautiful Japanese Sakura flower.
I particularly like the the teapot 'welcome' card and below the cup and saucer card.
This book of patterns enables you to show off all the techniques of parchment craft the designs are all distinctive and beautiful. The cost of the book is quite an increase from the usual parchment craft book prices but the Japanese books are always a bit more expensive.
I am definitely going to buy myself a copy of this book!

Tina Cox's New Didi Cards and Beginners Guide to Parchment Craft
Tina Cox has designed eight lovely smaller cards for beginners to start parchment crafting. These cards are brilliant to use for any occasion and as usual you can mix and match the elements of Tina's card designs to make your own unique cards. Included in this package is the 'Beginners Technique Guide' and complete instructions plus a full size colour illustration for each card. These designs can also be used for toppers, but altogether a great package to get everyone inspired to start parchment craft.

25 Years Pergamano - Anniversary Book
The new Pergamano Book '25 Years' is an anniversary book which has 25 projects by 25 Pergamano teachers and enthusiasts. This is an outstanding book with projects for cards, wall decorations, fan, dreamcatcher, boxes and calyx for a tea light. There are plenty of Anniversary cards, I particularly like this one designed by Linda Williams.
There is a huge variety of projects and designs from 25 authors, definitely something for everyone.
There are 79 pages with full instructions for each design and patterns at the back of the book.
A lovely book with a lot of variation of designs and different projects for you to make.

Abanico by Julie Roces
Abanico (fan) is a collection of 27 fan designs for you to make in parchment. Every pattern is a work of art.
Abanico has some exceptional designs which are most suited to parchment crafters of some experience. The patterns do not require any special tools, if you have a basic tool kit and a semi circle tool you will not need any more than that. Some of the patterns are coloured with dorso or watercolour pencils.
The patterns in the back of the book are all full size, most of the patterns would require A4 parchment but there are a couple that may require A3 size parchment. This book is 90 pages long.

Pergamano Christmas Special Pattern Book
Pergamano produced this Christmas Special in 2010, it is still available and has some lovely patterns from many designers such as Linda Williams, Kannikar Sukseree, Pat Hosking, Miki Green and Martha Ospina. In all 20 patterns designed for Christmas. There are patterns for Christmas cards, a centrepiece for the table, ornaments for the tree and a Christmas Mandala.
Here is my go at the Christmas Bauble, I have not done it exactly as the pattern, some changes were planned others were not!
If you are following a pattern and make a mistake - just carry on and see what happens.
